This Data Retention Policy explains how long fentu retains Client Data and personal data in connection with our Services, and the principles we apply when deleting or anonymising data. It should be read together with our Privacy policy and SaaS agreement.
1. Retention principles
- We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
- We retain Client Data for the duration of the Subscription Term and a defined post-termination retrieval window.
- We may retain data longer where required by law, regulation, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
2. Active subscription
While your subscription is active, Client Data entered into the Services (including work orders, asset history, time entries, attachments and customer records) is retained so that you and your authorized users can operate the platform.
3. After termination
Upon termination or expiry of the Agreement, access to the Services ceases. Fentu will retain your data for a defined period to allow retrieval and orderly transition. After this period has expired, data is permanently deleted unless retention is required by law or necessary to fulfil outstanding legal obligations.
On request, and subject to any applicable fees set out in your Purchase Order, Fentu will assist with data export during the retrieval window.
4. Backups and logs
Operational backups and system logs may persist for a limited additional period after deletion from production systems, solely for disaster recovery, security investigation and compliance purposes, after which they are overwritten or destroyed according to our backup rotation schedule.
5. Marketing and website data
Contact-form submissions, newsletter preferences and similar website data are retained as needed to respond to enquiries and, where consented, for marketing — until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete them.
